Pacome Dadiet, the New York Knicks’ 2024 first-round pick, has been signed to a rookie scale deal. However, Dadiet agreed to sign for 80% of the usual rookie scale. This is an interesting choice for the Knicks.
According to several sources, Pacome Dadiet agreed a buyout with Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany), paving the path for him to sign a rookie scale contract with the Knicks in the first round.
Therefore, his first-year compensation will be around $1,808,080, which is approximately $904,000 less than the entire rookie scale figure for the 25th overall pick. Players selected in the first round can sign for at least 80% and up to 120% of the rookie scale.
